Women business idea - children spa boutique

You will hardly find a little girl that doesn't dream about becoming a princess, at least for a day. And you will also hardly find a mother that wouldn't do her best to make her daughter's dream come true. Elizabeth Cipolla and Renee Thayer, as the mothers of young girls, know the situation perfectly and were daring and creative enough to start their own unique business on making girly dreams come true. Elizabeth and Renee, two "mom" preneurs from Western New York opened a traveling spa boutique for girls starting from 4 years old "The Polished Princess". Boutique offers mini-manicures and pedicures, guided facials and custom-made themed cakes and other things that are so essential for a truly memorable and chic party. Party can be booked in any location throughout Western New York and parents can choose from two packages. Each package includes spa services, snacks, cake and various entertainments and will cost $280 for 2 hours fun of 4 young ladies. Honestly, this is one of my most favorite unusual business ideas so far. It has all the possible advantages: minimal investments, no office or any rental space needed, interesting concept etc. This interesting business niche has great potential and children spa boutique will surely become a financially successful project!

Unique marketing concept - huge 3D poster

Promotion and marketing agencies are in constant search of new interesting ideas and unusual marketing tricks to open new horizons in advertising. London based agency recently showed an impressive creativity causing huge buzz in international mass media. The poster project for a new band "Dry the River" features huge paper sculpted horses that literally jump out at people walking by. London's based FOAM agency's team applied papercrafting onto traditional screen printing to create a unique 3D poster. This art project was created in Google Sketch Up and each horse took about 35 hours to build. I've heard about and saw a lot of creative posters, but this is definitely my Nr.1 for cool poster designs.

Interesting business niche - instant legal service

My collection of unusual business ideas is quiet extensive: there are some ideas that are truly bizarre, some that require special knowledge or the use of high technologies. But if you don't have time or skills, already own a traditional business, but still wish to go further, then search for an unusual business niche. Here's an inspiring example for legal business owners. LawyerUp is a new innovative legal service. Chris Miles, a nonlawyer, is operating his company in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, offering a new online service - criminal lawyer assistance that you get in 15 minutes. "If I want a pizza, I can get a pizza in 15 minutes," says Chris. "I can get a plumber in the middle of the night. Why can't I get a lawyer?" One can sign in for LawyerUp service and pay a monthly fee of $4.95 or pay $100 for the first call. First hour of work costs up to $250. Company targets young people and promises them quick help before they do or say anything that they might later regret. That's a great example of how to reorganize traditional business, stand out from crowd and reduce competition.

Successful business on motor signs - Safety 1st

I haven't been updating category "Success story" for quiet awhile. I feel that it's time to add another inspiring story to my collection. Michael Lerner's successful business started back in 1984 when he agreed to drive home his 18-month nephew. Michael couldn't follow the road, was very nervous and afraid to get into an accident. He suddenly understood how young mothers feel when driving a car with their babies on board. Same year Michael Lerner started a small business producing motor signs. In the first month he sold over 10 000 signs via several major retailers, for the next nine months this number increased up to a half million. Nowadays Safety 1st company produces a lot of different gadgets, specializing in child safety. Their main advantages are bright packaging, interesting design and competitive price. Safety 1st is a truly successful business and numbers show it perfectly: $ 7.7 million in 1987, $105.8 million in 1996, $158 million in 2000. Many successful companies with huge number of employees and impressive profits grew from an interesting business idea and succeeded by choosing the right business niche. Safety 1st once again proves these basic principles!

Unusual vending machine - AutoWed

Nowadays many young couples vote for free relationship and deny the necessity of official marriage. In some cases it happens because marriage usually costs a lot, even if you don't make a massive event. Besides, people don't want to waste time collecting necessary papers and visiting official institutions. I suppose that if marriage procedure becomes more simple, the number of registrations would increase. And now there's a chance to check if I'm right as world welcomes a new vending service – AutoWed. The AutoWed is a unique wedding vending machine - 2.5 meters tall device painted in a Barby-rose colour plays solemn music and provides the young couple with plastic rings and marriage certificate (unfortunately, unofficial) for a dollar or UK pound, depending on your location. At the moment this cool vending machine serves just for fun, but Sam Lanyon, the inventor of AutoWed claims that if this service will gain popularity, then in Las Vegas automatic marriage vending machine may someday become and actual method of getting married. UK vending, unfortunately, will not ever be available due to national law system. Japan vending machines are still Nr. 1 in the world, but as we see UK and US entrepreneurs also find this business niche to be profitable and are ready to invest. Hope to hear about new unusual vending machines shortly.

Hotel business niche - 48 hour five-star divorce

Wedding business is a market with enormous quantity of service and product suppliers, customers and money. Yet business on divorces is still not that popular. Probably the situation will change shortly as, according to statistics, the percentage of divorces is very high both in Europe, Australia, UK and US. Meanwhile it would be a very keen idea to start a small business on divorces while the competition is low. Jim Halfens from Holland already did so and seems that his unusual business will soon become very profitable. A Dutch company "Heartbreak Hotels" hits the market with a unique business idea – they offer couples a divorce-weekend. Those couples who feel like they are ready to go their own way now have an opportunity to do this in a nice and relaxed way. Warring spouses pay a €2,500 (£2,257) fee and the agency book them two separate rooms in one of Dutch or Belgian five star hotels. While a team of experts take care of all paper work to officially register their divorce, divorcing couple enjoy an unusual holiday and celebrate a beginning of new life. This interesting business idea seems to have great potential and could be developed into something even more ambitious. For example, a special boutique hotel for divorcing couples only where people can not only wait for divorce to be finalized, but also to make new acquaintances and, who knows, form new couples. Such unique hotel solution is not yet realized in any country and maybe you are the one to become a pioneer of "Heartbreak Hotel" business in your region.

You'll have to set the temp and make a warm welcome for newborn baby chicks in a couple of weeks. This job is not only weird, it is also extremely boring... 2. Coffee/tea taster The tea and coffee manufacturing companies spend millions to improve the taste of drinks and they need people who are able to evaluate the quality. A dream job for a true coffee/ tea lover. And well paid, by the way! 3. Greeting card writers Greetings cards are usually supplied with a nice poetry or a funny congratulation. These text don't appear by themselves, there are people who are paid for writing them. 4. Oyster shucker This is definitely the most bizarre job on my list.
